C-Quadrat Ampega pension funds invest in Firebird AI megaproject

The pension funds managed by C-Quadrat Ampega invest a total of USD 35 million in Firebird AI. The creation of an artificial intelligence data center by Firebird AI unprecedented in the region is a highly significant infrastructure project for Armenia and the wider region. The project combines the strengthening of Armenia’s economic potential with the creation of long-term value within the country.

Firebird’s AI factory will become the most powerful computing and AI data processing center in the region. It will enable research institutions, technology companies, and enterprises to implement cutting-edge AI technologies at scale, positioning Armenia as an emerging force in the global technological landscape and a key hub for next-generation innovation.

“As a pension fund manager, I would like to emphasize the importance of this project for the funded pension system, pension funds, and the hundreds of thousands of participants in the pension system,” said Arman Vardanyan, CEO of C-Quadrat Ampega. “Pension funds are long-term institutional investors entrusted with managing participants’ future pensions, with the goal of ensuring sustainable long-term growth of these savings. Infrastructure investments, including in digital infrastructure, are naturally aligned with achieving the objectives of the pension system. Such projects provide stable and predictable cash flows while also enhancing the diversification of investment risks within the funds.”

This investment creates a chain of connection between participants, the funds, and the real sector of the economy: in fact, more than 450,000 citizens who have entrusted C-Quadrat Ampega with managing their pension savings are indirectly investing in the project.
